CADC Research Shop
The 4,000 square foot CADC Research Shop includes a Kallfass research-scale CLT press, supporting expanded research activities focused on cross-laminated timber (CLT) and other mass timber construction systems.
Rural Studio
Rural Studio is a full-scale prototyping and performance research site located in Hale County, Alabama.
Robins & Morton Construction Field Laboratory
With 30-foot ceilings, this space gives students the opportunity to build prototypes of taller structures that may need to utilize scaffolding. The onsite classroom holds 30 to 40 students and was modeled after a professional construction management setting.
Mass Timber Construction at Auburn

2024: The Kreher Preserve and Nature Center Environmental Education Building is constructed of CLT and designed to be a dynamic focal point of the preserve.

2022: Hey Day Market is a test kitchen and food hall as part of the Tony and Libba Rane Culinary Science Center that showcases mass timber construction using cross-laminated (CLT) and glue-laminated timber construction, or glulam.

2021: The Advanced Structural Engineering Laboratory (ASEL) at Auburn University features CLT in the office area.
